When the dust gets too much
It's time to escape.
Of course, it's the time of the year when we usually find a reason for a jolly trip à deux somewhere. In recent years we've explored Nashville, shivered in Chicago and had fun in Berlin. So when the British Airways offer came in at just the right time we had no hesitation in planning our escape.
As soon as everyone had gone home the other night, we locked up and fled.
A couple of hours later, the car was in the safe hands of Raj at Heathrow Meet and Greet and we were heading for the hotel overnight.
This morning, we were ready for the off. Beautifully clear skies made for a good flight with excellent views as we took off.
It was a fine morning for flying. Even that turning manoeuvre during takeoff that I really dislike wasn't so bad with such a clear view, for we were flying north east of London today.
We had enjoyed our Summer days in Oslo earlier in the year so much, we thought we'd return to the city and spend a little more time exploring. We got tickets for the opera, chose a convenient hotel and here we were, on our way.
The weather forecast was cold, but clear and dry though there had been snow to the west, we observed.
There was still a light dusting over the area of our final approach though. Snow was not part of our plan!
Late in the afternoon our phones pinged. The builders had finished work for the day and had set our security system as they left. We went out in search of something good to eat.
Hello Oslo. It's good to be back.
