New bear in the house!
When the parcel of joints arrived in yesterday’s post, it was just a matter of time before our new bear could be finished. It didn’t prove to be as easy as it could have been however, for the replacement joints didn’t work with the existing ones, meaning I had to unpick and unstuff each limb in order to replace the whole thing, rather than simply fit a new washer onto the existing joint. The result - well, not as great a finish as I’d had first time round, but hey, it’s all part of Sid’s personality.
With his nose stitched in place, his limbs firmly attached with safety joints and having had a quick brush up and a bow, Sid introduced himself to the family.
He said hello to Paddington and Aunt Lucy at the top of the stairs.
He had a quick hug with Olaf at the bottom of the other stairs.
He told Georg a story in the kitchen, whilst I cooked: I was doing a cook-along with the chef at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, making Raspberry Soufflé for supper. Delicious!!
He couldn’t wait to tell Anton what was going on!
Now he’s in search of his favourite perch. For now, he’s found a place near Paddington and Aunt Lucy, but perhaps he’ll try a few different places before settling in.
Welcome Home Sid!
