An Elegant Sufficiency

In the Spring sunshine

It was a great day for Barry the Pond* to come and finish off the great job of landscaping he’s been working on and this morning, I’ve taken a little stroll outside to see how it’s all settling in. It looks great and the couple of years it’s taken to get it all back together after the leak has given us chance to refresh a couple of things. It does seem like a long time since we sat out there and enjoyed the view, though.

(* Barry the Pond to distinguish him from Barry the Pump, who fixed …well, you can work that out I expect!)

It’s been good to hang washing outside again and the sight of lines of sheets and shirts blowing in the breeze around and about revealed that I was not the only one to appreciate my washing line.

I always think of the little sign in the Irish gift shop, to be read with the correct lilt in the voice of course.

Here we are in the Spring sunshine, however, thinking of cooler temperatures and preparing for our trip. The forecast for the first few days looks fairly promising but I can’t say the same for Petropavlovsk!

As always, layers are the answer. Coming with us?
