Music City
A few pictures to be going on with.
A bit of a disappointing breakfast, sadly.
But we identified where to eat tomorrow.
There’s history here.
Plenty of new development going on too.
Everything is close to hand. It’s a remarkably compact city.
Formerly a church, the Ryman Auditorium is the home of the Grand Ole Opry.
We had a tour this morning
and a show tonight.
The Country Music Museum and Hall of Fame is just a couple of blocks away.
To travel a little further, there are free shuttle buses doing circuits of the city.
The green bus passes through the area known as The Gulch, where people were queueing to take photos of themselves with angel wings.
Back on Broadway, every bar has live music
From what we heard, I think we chose one of the best.
I think Sarah Gayle Meech and the Meech Boys were far better than any of the acts at the Grand Ole Opry tonight!
(There’s a follow up post to all of this here by the way)
