Magical
It was a chilly evening and to begin with, I'm not so sure my hero was all that keen on the idea of going out into the cold night. But the invitation from Jolly Nice had been so tempting and, remembering the enjoyment of a similar event last year, we wrapped up warmly and sallied forth.
With generous discounts on Christmas trees for card holders on offer, I muttered that we might keep an eye open for the perfect tree, though someone with a bit more common sense did point out that buying a tree in the dark might not be a great idea!
So we went over to meet Dancer and Blitzen instead. Cheerfully nibbling reindeer moss (what else?) they're building up to their big night and were not only in great shape but looking so very cute too.
Resisting the temptation to buy sprouts in favour of a little gin tasting (delicious!) and a spot of local wine from here and here, we pottered around, enjoying the atmosphere and appreciating the wealth of local products on offer.
As we left, we took one last look at the Christmas tree forest as my hero loaded ours into the car (!) What a lovely evening!
